Budget Travel came out with their choices for the 12 best kid-friendly destinations, hoping to help families thinking about their summer vacation plans. Here are the 12 places on their list:

Philadelphia
San Francisco
New York City
San Diego
Barcelona
Niagara Falls, NY
St. Augustine, FL
I admit that I wouldn’t have thought about some of these, but it looks like I need to add more to my future vacation ideas list. Budget Travel lists their reasoning and outing ideas with each destination–check out their article.
Personally, I would seriously consider two additions:
1. San Antonio, TX. You have SeaWorld, the riverwalk, the Alamo, the Witte Museum, and the San Antonio zoo. The city of New Braunfels is right next door so you can enjoy the fabulous Schlitterbahn! The Natural Bridge Caverns and Wildlife Ranch are also worth it.

2: Destin, FL.
Destin has some fantastic beaches where all you need is an umbrella, towels, and sand tools. There is also the Track (family adventure park with go carts, miniature golf, etc), Big Kahuna’s (family waterpark, quite the blast), Gulfarium (dolphins!), and outlets with a really cool outdoor fountain.
There are lots of places out there that are fabulous for families. Where would you want to add?
